"RITE Here, Right Now"
Bringing the RITE Project to you!
The Roosevelt Island Tidal Energy (RITE) Project Tour has been replaced by an overview and virtual tour of the project, which Verdant Power will present on Friday:
Project Overview: Dean Corren, Director of Marine Current Technology, Verdant Power
The RITE Project is being operated in the East River, in the middle of New York City, and represents the world’s first grid-connected, multi-turbine marine renewable energy system. Installed fully underwater, Verdant Power’s system has generated and delivered clean renewable energy from the tides of the East River to two businesses on Roosevelt Island. The project has set a number of world precedents for operation and energy delivery.
